Room 11 Writing Using Language Features

This week we have been practicing using similes, alliteration, powerful verbs and interesting adjectives in our writing.

The wind is freezing like ice and is rushing and blowing.

Museum Science

During our Museum visit last Friday, the Museum Staff helped us explore some interesting science experiments.  We had to think, make a hypothesis and then test our ideas like a scientist.  We were amazed at some of the things that happened and why!!


 Ask your child if they can explain the following experiments to you.

Planet Warrior

Term 4
 Our focus for inquiry learning this term is "Planet Warriors".
This week we are at the "immersion" stage and will be exploring what we already think.  

Our starting question was "What is a Planet Warrior?" and then in groups we completed a " 5 Why's" questioning activity. 

Reading what we have written and asking questions.

Explaining what we think and why.

Working with a Learning Assistant and taking turns.

Listening and thinking.

Recording our ideas as questions.
