Finishing off Friday

Room 11 is doing finishing up Friday today. We are finishing up our neurons and our mini books about the brain and how it works.

Group 4 Reading

We read an article about a boy who couldn't read or write until he was 21. He did a marathon and was successful and he got very determined to do something about his reading and writing. He worked very hard at it and succeeded in the end. 

We used what we learned about learning to read and write to make a brochure for parents!

Reading about Chinese New Year

Group 3 in Reading have been reading and watching a video about Chinese New Year. Now we are writing the story in our own words.

We've been talking about the possibility of having a room 11 pet so when Jake and his Mum offered to bring in their Guinea Pigs and answer questions it seemed like an awesome opportunity. We all had a chance to hold them and we were surprised and how soft their fur is. Jake told us how it's good to have two so they can keep each other company and that it's good if they're brothers.
